New Year, new life

on February 2, 2017

tel-avivIt’s February already!

2017 is off to a great start!   I have a new job at a high school as the librarian.  The school is in our school district so my commute is very short.  I love it!  I love hanging out with the kids and talking books or whatever else they want to talk about.  Having two teenagers at home and one grown, I like this age group much more than elementary school kids.

I had the opportunity to visit the wonderful country of Israel in December with my husband.  It was a wonderful trip, full of sightseeing, beach reading and just relaxing.  He stayed for a month for work, I had 10 days of vacation bliss.

Christmas was a nice, quiet, local event with just the five of us.  Then school began again and we are back in normal mode, as much as we can be.  Now I’m focusing on reading new YA titles to share with the kids at work, finding time to walk with our new dogs and getting settled in my new job.  I hope to link my blog with the library website and add reviews for the students.

Hope your 2017 is off to a great start too!
